About the author

I am Kurt Schwarze, a software engineer in Hannover, where I live with Karo and my sons (look at the games they make).

Besides writing software I love animals, and my biggest achievement are my four aquariums. Wombat was written a few meters from them.

Four planted aquariums, two on top of two, on wooden stands, full of green and red plants

4 aquariums
~200 shrimps
10 dwarf puffers that judge me
30 kuhli loaches
5 dicrossus
25 cardinal tetras
∞ snails
1 Karo who tolerates all of it

Every release of Wombat is reviewed by the dwarf puffers. They stare at the screen and say nothing, which I take as approval. Sometimes they start to fight among themselves; I still do not know how to take that.

My other project is Kartoffel, the framework for microcontrollers.
